Equipment, same as tasks, can be allocated to different processes as a part of the cross-functional planning. That brings together the activities of various functional groups to increase the efficiency of planning and scheduling. This guide explains how you can achieve this.

Info!

To see how to add, edit, delete equipment and print and send a status report see the "How to manage equipments" article.

Step-by-step guide

This guide provides instructions on how to:

  • Share Equipment with Another Process

  • Check Equipment Allocation by Schedule and lend equipment to another process.

Follow these steps to share equipment with another process in CiteOps.

Share Equipment with Another Process

1. Click on the Equipment Schedule icon

2. Click on the selected shift of the equipment in the calendar and select the process that this equipment will be shared with and click Save in the icon.

Info!

To delete a process allocation click on the allocated process in the calendar, delete the name of the process and click anywhere on the screen with the exception of the list and click Save.

Check Equipment Allocation by the Schedule and lend eqiupment

In the Shift Schedule Screen, check the day, the shift and the process of the allocated equipment.

On that screen you can also check which other equipment is available for that specific process and shift, the equipment that has already been assigned to a task and unavailable equipment. Unavailability can be defined because a piece of equipment has been lent to another process or because the equipment is being serviced.

To lend equipment to another process, you have to right click on the name of the equipment and select the process we are lending it to from the list.

Once that is done, that equipment will automatically be displayed as "unavailable equipment" in the by default process.

Info!

Lent equipment can be unlend by right clicking on the equipment displayed as "unavailable equipment" and clicking on "unlend"
