Add new Location

New ad hoc locations can be added through the “Locations” section in the Manage Screen by following these steps:

1. Click on the 'Add location' button and complete the information in the pop-up window.

The name and the short code are the only two mandatory fields to add a new location.

To create new location types, please send a ticket to our Support Team (support@commit.works.com) specifying the name and short code of the location type and they will assist you creating it.

2. Click 'Save'.

Enable Locations to a process

In the ‘Locations’ section of the Process settings. If ‘All Locations’ was selected, the newly created location will be automatically enabled on that process.

If ‘Specific Locations’ was selected, add the newly created location in the list by selecting it in the drop down list. If ‘No Locations’ was selected all locations (old and new) will not be enabled on that process.

Edit Locations

Existing locations can be replaced or edited by just clicking on the location in the 'Locations' section in the Manage Screen and edit the desired information.

Disable Locations

To disable an outdated location and prevent from appearing in the dropdown list when creating a task there are two options:

  • Delete the location: Select the location to be deleted in the manage screen and click on “Delete” button.

  • Disable the location from all the processes if ‘Specific Locations’ was selected on the process settings: In the processes section of the manage screen, click on each process, go to the “Locations” tab. In the ‘Specific Locations’ and unselect the location to be disabled by clicking on the 'x' next to it.
